Perth Glory’s emerging star Jaylan Pearman has secured the nomination for the April/May segment of the 2025 Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award, while Western Sydney Wanderers’ Nicolas Milanovic has been granted the prestigious “wildcard” nomination.
At just 19 years of age, Pearman has been nothing short of sensational this season, netting four goals and providing three assists across a mere 12 league appearances, despite Perth finishing at the bottom of the ladder.
Thanks to his outstanding breakthrough season, the young prodigy is now poised to join EFL Championship club Queens Park Rangers.

Pearman marks the sixth player nominated for the 2024-25 award, joining five other monthly nominees chosen by a panel of football experts and media representatives who evaluate performances on a 3-2-1 voting system at the end of each designated monthly period throughout the season.
In the mix for the 2025 Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award is also a key player for the Wanderers – Nicolas Milanovic.

At 23, Milanovic has consistently posed a threat to opposing defences, ending just one goal shy of the Golden Boot with a personal-best tally of 12 goals for the season.
As he aims to propel the Wanderers towards Finals Series triumph, there’s also speculation surrounding his potential move overseas following an impressive campaign.

The local talent from Western Sydney becomes the seventh and final nominee for the 2024-25 award. Following the regular season, the six previously nominated players will be joined in contention for the Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year by the wildcard selection; this is awarded to the player who garners the highest total votes throughout the season without receiving a monthly nomination.
