Barcelona staged a comeback to overcome Real Valladolid 2-1, solidifying their position at the summit of LaLiga, albeit with more effort than in their previous 7-0 victory.
Although the Blanquivioletas face relegation, they were eager to put on a show against Hansi Flick’s rotated lineup.
Ivan Sanchez was a standout, challenging Ronald Araujo to take a shot that fortunately deflected off the defender and spun past Marc-Andre ter Stegen just six minutes into the keeper’s return from injury.
Raúl Moro prompted a save from Ter Stegen, and Pau VÃctor forced André Ferreira into action around that time. Meanwhile, Ansu Fati and FermÃn López had shots blocked as Valladolid bravely held onto their lead.
Despite being behind, Barcelona’s debutant Dani RodrÃguez showcased some promising moments, cutting in and sending a shot wide.
Fati then drifted in from the other flank and delivered a striking shot that Ferreira spectacularly saved around the half-hour mark.
RodrÃguez’s night ended on a sour note as he was forced off with a shoulder injury, adding to the frustration for his teammates even after Lamine Yamal was introduced, despite dominating possession.
At half-time, Raphinha and Frenkie de Jong came onto the pitch, and Raphinha wasted no time, controlling Ferreira’s attempted punch and slotting it into the bottom corner.
The lead came just seven minutes later when Gerard Martin set up Fermin, who finished with precision on the first touch.

As the visitors continued to push, Héctor Fort hit the post following an exquisite display of footwork, whilst Juanmi Latasa made Ter Stegen work hard with efforts either side of that moment.
Concerns arose for Gavi when he departed the pitch, and Antonio Candela miraculously cleared Yamal’s shot off the line, but Barcelona ultimately secured their fourth consecutive victory in LaLiga.
This win guarantees they will lead Real Madrid by at least four points ahead of the two fierce rivals clashing in El Clásico next week. In contrast, Valladolid suffered their eighth straight defeat in the top flight, marking an unwanted first in club history.
