European Le Mans Series – 4 Hours of Barcelona
James Allen, an Australian driver, commenced his 2025 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) season with a commendable performance in the LMP2 Pro-Am category.
Apart of the Nielsen Racing team, Allen piloted the Oreca 07-Gibson, competing alongside returning ELMS racer Anthony Wells and former F2 driver Sérgio Sette Câmara.
The team secured a sixth-place qualifying spot in their class, achieving a best lap of 1:33.781, placing them 2.671 seconds behind the leaders, United Autosports.
Ultimately, the British outfit finished seventh in the LMP2 Pro-Am category, providing Allen and his teammates a solid foundation from which to progress further in the 2025 season.
Meanwhile, in the LMP3 division, emerging Aussie star Griffen Peebles collaborated with Leonard Weiss and Torsten Kratz in the Duqueine D09-Toyota from WTM by Rinaldi Racing. They clinched sixth in their class, finishing 24th overall with a time of 4:01:32.275.

In addition, Peebles enjoyed success in the Le Mans Cup, securing a victory in the LMP3 Pro-Am class alongside co-driver Steve Parrow for Rinaldi Racing. Their Ligier JS P325-Toyota finished ninth overall, clocking in at 2:01:00.779, marking a promising start to the season.

On another note, Garnet Patterson made his debut in the LMGT3 class with United Autosports, sharing the McLaren 720S LMGT3 Evo with teammates Michael Birch and Wayne Boyd.
The trio qualified ninth and managed to finish the race in 11th place within the LMGT3 category, wrapping up 4:01:36.652 hours of racing.
The 2025 European Le Mans Series will continue on May 4 with the 4 Hours of Le Castellet.

Formula One – Japanese Grand Prix
Aussie driver Oscar Piastri maintained his impressive momentum with McLaren, achieving a third-place qualifying time of 1:27.027 and converting that into a podium finish in the race.
The Victorian racer finished the event in P3, behind his teammate Lando Norris, further solidifying McLaren’s strong performance early in the 2025 season.
Conversely, Jack Doohan faced a more challenging weekend in the Alpine team, getting eliminated in Q1.
Starting from 19th on the grid, Doohan managed to improve his position through the team’s strategic calls, ultimately finishing 15th after overtaking several competitors, just trailing Carlos Sainz.
Aussie fans can look forward to the fourth round of the 2025 Formula One Championship, taking place in Bahrain from April 11-13.

GB4 Championship – Donington Park GP
Australia’s Jack Taylor, representing Fortec Motorsports, displayed remarkable speed during qualifying, securing the second position with a time of 1:27.846.
Taylor was only 0.122 seconds shy of pole-sitter Isaac Phelps from Elite Motorsport.
In the opening race, unfortunately, Taylor suffered contact from behind, resulting in a puncture that left him finishing 23rd.
Despite struggling with tyre issues following the puncture in the first race, Taylor bounced back with a solid pace, finishing sixth in Race 2 and 10th in Race 3.
The second round of the GB4 Championship is set for April 26-27.
