Manchester United is set to engage in friendly matches in Malaysia and Hong Kong just three days following the conclusion of the Premier League season, as announced by the club on Tuesday.
Under the guidance of Ruben Amorim, the team will take on an ASEAN All-Star XI in Kuala Lumpur on May 28th, followed by a clash against a Hong Kong selection on May 30th.
They are looking to put the finishing touches on what has been another underwhelming Premier League campaign at home against Aston Villa on May 25th.
The last time United toured Asia was in July 2022 when they faced Liverpool in Thailand.
In addition, the club will participate in the Premier League Summer Series in the United States ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Chief executive Omar Berrada remarked: “Importantly, tour fixtures generate significant additional revenue, which aids in strengthening the club and allows us to continue investing in success on the pitch.”
Other clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham, and Liverpool, have previously announced plans to visit Hong Kong in July.
Currently sitting in 13th place in the Premier League, United last visited the Chinese city in 2013.
The Hong Kong squad, managed by former United youth player Ashley Westwood, is ranked 153rd globally.
