Tiana Jaber, the Wellington Phoenix defender, has received a call-up to represent Lebanon in upcoming international friendlies scheduled for April.
She stands poised to make her debut in home international matches this week, having been included in the squad of the world’s 131st ranked team for two clashes against Comoros in Lebanon on April 5 and April 7.
These fixtures are part of Lebanon’s preparations as they gear up for the 2026 Women’s AFC Asian Cup qualifiers commencing in June.
Jaber made her senior debut for Lebanon at the four-nations tournament held in Kathmandu back in February.
The 24-year-old Phoenix player has been a pivotal figure this season, starting all of the first 19 matches of the 2024-25 campaign. However, she missed the Round 20 loss to Central Coast Mariners due to suspension but returned for Sunday’s narrow 1-0 defeat against the reigning champions, Melbourne City.
