Joyful Moments, The A-League & The Potential Conclusion of Daniel Georgievski’s Career? | The Warm Up Ep.18
The line-ups are confirmed as we approach Round 23 of the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
Leading the league, Auckland FC is set to welcome back two-time Isuzu UTE A-League Champion Dan Hall for his first appearance since Round 7, following an ankle injury he sustained in December.
Hall played a pivotal role during his initial season with the Black Knights, contributing to seven consecutive victories. His return coincides with Auckland’s Round 23 match against the Central Coast Mariners—his former team—providing crucial support as fellow centre-back Nando Pijnaker and star midfielder Louis Verstraete will miss the trip to Gosford due to suspensions.
Verstraete earned a straight red card in Auckland’s last match against Newcastle Jets, while Pijnaker received his fifth yellow card of the season, triggering a one-match suspension.
In other news, Adelaide United is excited to have veteran midfielder Isaías back from a hamstring injury, while the Mariners see a boost with midfielder Alfie McCalmont and striker Alou Kuol joining their squad for Saturday’s showdown against Auckland. Moreover, Young Socceroos Jaylan Pearman (Perth Glory) and Tiago Quintal (Sydney FC) have been named in the squads for their initial Isuzu UTE A-League appearances since clinching the Under-20 Asian Cup.
