
Tiana Jaber, a defender for the Wellington Phoenix, has received an international call-up to represent Lebanon as they prepare for a four-nation tournament in Nepal.
Jaber is set to travel to Kathmandu after Wellington’s Round 16 match against Perth Glory on Sunday to join the Lebanon squad.

The 24-year-old was first named in Lebanon’s squad in 2024 and has been recalled due to her solid performances with the Phoenix, where she has played in all 15 league matches this season.
Lebanon’s opening match in the tournament is scheduled against Myanmar on Monday, February 17. Following that, they will compete against host nation Nepal on Thursday, February 20, and then face Kyrgyzstan on the following Sunday.
The top two teams at the conclusion of the round-robin stage will meet in the final on February 26.
Jaber is expected to rejoin the Phoenix after the tournament, making her available for selection in Round 17, where Wellington will take on Adelaide United at Porirua Park on March 2.
