Ronaldo Mulitalo has silenced any uncertainties regarding his NRL career by signing a three-year contract extension with the Cronulla Sharks.
The dynamic winger was initially without a contract beyond 2025 and had been speculated to make a move away from the Sharks, but he has now committed to a new deal with the club.
Having joined the Sharks as a teenager, Mulitalo has spent his entire first-grade career with the team, establishing himself as a premier outside back in the league.
His new agreement will see him at the club until the conclusion of the 2028 season.
“I’m overwhelmed with emotions and extremely grateful,” he stated.

“For my family and me, this is huge. My aim is to finish my career as a Sharkie. I’ve been here since I was 15, and being surrounded by my closest mates for another three years is incredibly humbling.
“The club has provided me with so much—I’ve even been able to buy my mum a house because of my time here. Now, I want to give back to the club as best as I can.
“The trust the club has shown in me is something I cherish, and now it’s up to us to achieve our collective goals.”
With 83 tries in 110 appearances for Cronulla, Mulitalo is well on the path to becoming the club’s all-time leading tryscorer, currently sitting third behind Andrew Ettinghausen, who leads with 166 tries.
Mulitalo has also evolved into a fan-favourite and an international player, representing New Zealand on eight occasions, despite a turbulent State of Origin eligibility saga that occurred a few years ago.

Darren Mooney, the Sharks’ general manager, commended the Kiwi star for his impact on the club and his contagious enthusiasm within the team.
“Ronaldo’s passion for the club and his teammates shines through in the dedicated way he approaches every match,” Mooney expressed.
“In addition to being an elite finisher and a fierce competitor, he consistently brings infectious enthusiasm to our squad.
“Off the field, Ronaldo is always active in giving back to the community, embodying the values we hold dear at the Sharks. We are incredibly fortunate to have him committed to the club for the long term.”
