Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour Set to Kick Off in 2025

The 2025 Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour is set to ignite this weekend, promising four exhilarating days at Mount Panorama.

On Thursday, the festivities will kick off with the Track to Town parade, showcasing vehicles from competing support categories along with demonstration cars for the first time ever.

Fans can look forward to three days filled with on-track action, featuring support categories such as the Repco Supercars Championship, the Duggan Family Hotels Combined Sedans and Sports Cars, as well as the inaugural Ferrari Challenge Australasia.

The Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour will officially commence on Friday morning with four practice sessions. Saturday will include two additional practice runs, leading into Qualifying scheduled for that afternoon at 1:05 pm.

The main event of the Meguiar’s Bathurst 12 Hour is slated to start at 5:45 am on Sunday morning.

This year’s roster features drivers from 15 different nations, including champions from five prominent GT3 championships worldwide, as well as the reigning winners at Le Mans, Nürburgring, and Bathurst in the GT3 category.

MotoGP superstar Valentino Rossi will return to the endurance race for a third time, piloting a BMW M4 GT3 alongside Belgian racer Charles Weerts and former Allan Simonsen Pole Award holder Raffaele Marciello.

Fans will also see Repco Supercars Champion Will Brown returning in a Ferrari 296 GT3, along with the top five drivers from last year’s Supercars Championship standings.

Six past winners of the 12 Hour are competing this year, including Matt Campbell and Ayhancan Guven, both aiming for consecutive victories.

Continuing the trend from 2024, this year’s event will feature 19 GT3 cars, with Ferrari and Aston Martin joining the ranks as new manufacturers.
