Auckland FC’s defender Nando Pijnaker is set to be sidelined for up to four weeks due to an ankle injury.
The Isuzu UTE A-League leaders have reported that Pijnaker is projected to make his return in three to four weeks following scans that revealed a moderate-grade ankle issue.
The injury occurred when Pijnaker rolled his right ankle during Auckland’s 2-1 victory against Macarthur Bulls in Round 17.
The 25-year-old New Zealand international has been a key player for Auckland during their remarkable debut season, featuring in all 15 matches to date.
