Injury-ravaged South Sydney talent Campbell Graham has assured his teammates that he’ll be ready to take the field for round one next month, even after breaking his hand during training last week.
Having missed the entirety of the 2024 season due to a sternum injury, Graham is currently listed as “out indefinitely” following the unfortunate incident.
However, he has communicated to his fellow players that there’s no chance he will miss the Rabbitohs’ first match against the Dolphins, providing a significant morale boost as Wayne Bennett embarks on his second tenure with the club.
Graham sustained the injury last Tuesday, and the medical team is waiting for the swelling to subside before determining whether surgery is required to fix the fracture in his hand.

The tall centre, who was greatly missed as the Rabbitohs struggled to find attacking momentum during the 2024 season, has five weeks to return to match fitness.
He may even take the field before his hand has fully healed, possibly with a sturdy bandage or protective covering around the area.
“He has stated he will be there for round one,” a Souths insider revealed to Wide World of Sports.
“It’s been an incredibly frustrating couple of years for him, and this injury has only heightened his determination to be competing alongside his teammates.”
