The Wallabies will be seeking retribution as they head to Japan to face the Eddie Jones-coached Brave Blossoms in Tokyo on 25 October.
This encounter will be the first time the Wallabies come face-to-face with their former coach since parting ways after a disappointing 2023 World Cup campaign.
Additionally, this match will be unprecedented as it marks the first occasion the Wallabies will challenge Japan on their home turf in Tokyo.
The match is set to follow the British and Irish Lions’ tour of Australia, along with the Wallabies’ fixtures in the Rugby Championship against Argentina and the All Blacks.

“Rugby Australia and the Japan Rugby Football Union have a robust, fruitful partnership and share a deep-rooted rugby culture,” said Phil Waugh, the chief executive of Rugby Australia.
“We’re thrilled that the Wallabies will face the Brave Blossoms in front of an enthusiastic crowd in Tokyo.
“This Test match will also act as valuable preparation for the Wallabies ahead of the Autumn Internationals in the northern hemisphere.”
The Wallabies have not set foot in Japan since a COVID-19 disrupted tour in 2021.
Chairman of the JRFU, Kensuke Iwabuchi, expressed his excitement about hosting the Wallabies.

“Welcoming Australia to Tokyo’s National Stadium promises to be an incredible experience, and we are eager to host the many Australian supporters living here in Japan, along with those visiting from overseas,” he commented.
“As hosts of the upcoming men’s Rugby World Cup in 2027, Australia’s visit will undoubtedly rekindle fond memories of the 2019 World Cup — not only for Brave Blossoms fans but also for the sizeable Wallaby contingent who contributed immensely to the tournament’s excitement and atmosphere.”
