What a finish! Adelaide United snatched a dramatic 94th-minute winner, moments after Sydney FC had equalised, as the dynamic Reds triumphed 3-2 in the Ninja A-League on Friday evening.
Sydney seemed to have rallied from a two-goal deficit, drawing level thanks to Millie Farrow’s equaliser in the 93rd minute at Leichhardt Oval. Prior to that, Indiana Dos Santos sparked the comeback, cancelling out Emily Condon’s two goals for the Reds.
However, Chelsie Dawber struck back for Adelaide almost immediately, ensuring the Reds secured their first-ever victory against the Sky Blues in thrilling fashion.

With this win, Adelaide extended their unbeaten run to seven matches — a new club record.
The Reds are currently in third place, just three points off the lead, while Sydney finds themselves languishing in 11th position, 10 points adrift of the top six.
Sydney appeared to pose a threat in the early moments on their home ground, with both teams exchanging opportunities.
Yet it was the in-form Adelaide side that struck first, with Condon finding the net in the 23rd minute to give the Reds the lead.

Condon doubled her tally just 10 minutes into the second half. Sydney goalkeeper Briana Edwards could only deflect Erin Healy’s shot directly to the 26-year-old, who seized the moment to notch her sixth goal of the season — marking her most prolific season to date.
Princess Ibini’s impressive play helped Sydney regain a foothold in the match as she set up Dos Santos at the back post, allowing him to cut the deficit.

As the match approached its conclusion, Sydney pushed hard for an equaliser, but determined defending and a crucial goal-line clearance thwarted their efforts.
This was until Farrow found the back of the net in the third minute of stoppage time, only for Dawber to respond for Adelaide just seconds later, sealing a remarkable victory.
