Over the weekend, Bodo/Glimt made 480 tickets available for their European League semi-final second leg against Tottenham. However, the overwhelming demand from football fans queuing for tickets suggested they could have sold 50,000.
With Aspmyra Stadium’s capacity set at 8,200 and 4,600 season ticket holders already accounted for, it seems surprising that only 480 tickets were listed for sale.
Adding to the situation, around 1,000 tickets were already claimed by UEFA, over 600 are earmarked for media, and an additional 200 have been allocated for Tottenham to distribute among their stakeholders.
Despite this, further tickets are still under wraps. Simen Pedersen, the media manager at Bodo/Glimt, informed the Norwegian news outlet NRK that more tickets will be made available as the match date approaches.
“We anticipate that there will be additional seats released, but we can’t promise how many,” Simen noted, expressing confidence that there won’t be an empty seat by the time the match gets underway.
“There won’t be a single empty seat unless illness strikes. I can assure you of that. Any vacant seats will be sold before the match kicks off. That’s a certainty,” he stated.
For the quarter-final clash against Lazio, the final UEFA tickets were released just hours prior to kick-off.
So far, 2,000 tickets have been sold for Spurs supporters, who have received just over 3,000 tickets for the encounter.
