Rising star Sienna Saveska has received a nomination for the January/February Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year award.
The 18-year-old has had a standout season with Western Sydney Wanderers, and in February, she distinguished herself at the PacificAus Four Nations Tournament by scoring six goals across three matches for the Young Matildas, which included a hat-trick against Thailand as well as the accolade for Goal of the Tournament.

Saveska was nominated for the Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year by a panel established by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL). This panel comprises various media and technical football professionals who cast votes on a 3-2-1 basis at the end of each monthly nomination period throughout the season.

With this recognition, Saveska has joined the ranks of nominees for the Boost Mobile Young Footballer of the Year for the 2024-25 season. She follows Sydney FC’s Indiana Dos Santos, who received the nomination in January, Canberra United midfielder Mary Stanic-Floody (October/November), and Melbourne City defender Alexia Apostolakis (December).
The promising young talent will next don her Wanderers jersey this weekend as her team faces off against Wellington Phoenix at Porirua Park during Round 18 of the Ninja A-League season.
