Nigeria is set to rekindle its faltering hopes of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in their upcoming match against Rwanda.
After a rocky beginning to the qualification campaign, the Super Eagles find themselves in a precarious position after four rounds of matches.
Having managed to secure only three points, the three-time African champions currently trail behind Amavubi, South Africa, Benin Republic, and Lesotho.
Eric Chelle’s side understands that a defeat in this critical match would greatly diminish their chances of progression. With this in mind, they are determined to fight for all three points.
Conversely, Rwanda enters the fray with confidence, having gone unbeaten against Nigeria in their previous two meetings.
Notably, the East Africans claimed a 2-1 victory over Nigeria in their last encounter held at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
