The MG Car Club Victoria has confirmed that the inaugural round of the Hugh Gidney Memorial Victorian State Circuit Racing Championships (VSCRC) is set to take place from 14-16 February 2025.
Kicking off at the iconic Sandown International Motor Raceway, entries for this state championship will be accepted from 4 December 2024, with a closing date of 5 February 2025.
Sandown Raceway is renowned as the traditional opener for the 2024 VSCRC, boasting a rich history as the venue for the famous Sandown 500, a highlight of the Supercars Championship.

This 3.1-kilometre circuit features 13 corners and is known for its power-driven layout, punctuated by lengthy straights.
The VSCRC has its origins dating back to 1975, having started as a single-day event before evolving significantly over the years.
In 2025, competitors and fans can look forward to an action-packed weekend, with racing activities scheduled from Friday through Sunday.
Qualifying and racing will encompass various categories, including Formula Vee, Formula Ford, Formula Ford 1600, Historic Formula Ford, MG / Invited British Sports Cars, HQ Holden, Improved Production / BMW E30, Sports Sedans, Saloon Cars, Historic Touring Cars, Porsche 944 Challenge, Hyundai Excel, Sports Cars, and Vic V8.

Friday will feature an optional private practice session for drivers, available for an additional fee.
The subsequent days will be dedicated to qualifying and racing, providing drivers an opportunity to showcase their talents on the Sandown Circuit.
Additionally, the weekend will boast an impressive line-up of categories, which will be revealed closer to the event date.
