The 2025 Formula 1 Louis Vuitton Australian Grand Prix promises to be an extraordinary event, brought to life by Motorsport Australia.
Throughout the four-day spectacle, nearly 1000 Motorsport Australia officials work tirelessly to ensure that the nation’s premier motorsport event is conducted safely and efficiently – without these officials, the race simply cannot proceed.

The first day is just around the corner, with almost 1000 officials set to assemble before dispersing to their designated positions around the circuit. Officiating is essential in motorsport, helping to ensure events are conducted safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. From trackside marshals to technical inspectors and race control teams, officials play a vital role in managing all on-track activities.
Lisa Crampton, Motorsport Australia’s Sporting and Technical Director, acknowledged the numerous diverse volunteers contributing to making the Australian Grand Prix a benchmark in officiating.
“Our officials are the backbone of the Australian Grand Prix,” Crampton stated. “Without their commitment, expertise, and passion, this event simply wouldn’t be possible. With nearly 1000 officials—from newcomers to those celebrating 40 years of service—this community truly embodies the spirit of motorsport. We are immensely proud to honour their contributions and recognise the essential part they play in hosting Australia’s largest motorsport event.”

On average, officials have been involved in the Australian Grand Prix for seven events, with representatives from 19 different nations participating this year. Notably, over a quarter of the senior officials are women, including the Deputy Chief Marshal, Chief Grid, and Deputy Chief Fire Marshal, along with the first-ever female Assistant Clerk of the Course this year.
The dedication of these officials is what makes the race possible. From family legacies to first-time participants, the community of officials embodies pride, passion, and professionalism.
This year’s event also celebrates a significant milestone, with 21 officials marking 40 years of service, allowing for a formal recognition of their invaluable contributions to the sport.
