Victor Radley was compelled to leave the field early during his team’s encounter against the Broncos due to a severe collision with a teammate from the Sydney Roosters.
The evening kicked off in an unusual manner at Allianz Stadium, with a torrential downpour just prior to kickoff causing disruption for both teams.
Lindsay Collins fumbled the ball on the first play of the match, yet it was the Roosters who ultimately struck first, with winger Dom Young crossing the line.
However, shortly after, the Roosters were dealt a significant blow as Radley sprinted after Brisbane’s back-rower Kobe Hetherington to thwart a try.
In the process, Radley struck heads with fullback James Tedesco, collapsing onto the ground, and was quickly escorted off the pitch by the club’s medical staff.

“You could see when Kobe slipped … it’s unfortunate,” remarked Billy Slater on Nine.
The 26-year-old exhibited clear category one symptoms after the incident, which was confirmed shortly after by Nine’s Danika Mason from the sidelines.
Radley will now be sidelined for the Roosters’ second-round clash against the Panthers.
With the team already missing front-rower Spencer Leniu due to suspension, Radley’s absence is another significant setback for the Roosters.
