Bob Hagan, a former player, coach, and CEO of the Canterbury Bulldogs, has sadly passed away at the age of 85.
The Bulldogs announced his death, which occurred on the Sunshine Coast, on Wednesday.
“The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs extend their heartfelt condolences to Bob Hagan’s family and friends during this difficult time,” stated a representative from the club.

Hagan holds a revered position in the annals of rugby league at Belmore.
He uniquely served the club as a player, coach, and CEO.
Originally hailing from England, Hagan joined the Bulldogs in 1967, going on to play 45 first-grade matches in the club’s iconic blue and white jersey.

During his playing career, Hagan captained the Bulldogs and represented New South Wales.
He returned to coach the team during the 1971 and 1972 seasons.
After that, he moved to Queensland, where he became the first president of the Gold Coast team in 1988 before returning to Belmore to take on the role of CEO in 1996.
Hagan served as CEO for an impressive 11 years.
