NRL icon Greg Inglis is preparing to join the Wests Tigers coaching team, delivering a significant lift to the ailing club.
Inglis will officially take on the role of assistant coach for the Tigers’ NRLW squad, while also contributing to one-on-one training sessions for the young outside backs in the NRL.
The ex-Rabbitohs and Storm star has a close friendship with chief executive Shane Richardson, which has facilitated his move to the Tigers.
This announcement comes on the heels of Queensland’s declaration earlier today that Inglis will serve as an assistant coach for the Maroons women’s team in their annual face-off with New South Wales.

Recognised as one of the top players of the modern era, Inglis’ involvement with the Tigers is expected to significantly boost morale for both the men’s and women’s teams.
Last year, he was seen at Concord, providing mentorship to fullback Jahream Bula.
He will be working alongside Brett Kimmorley, who heads up the NRLW team.
The struggling Tigers ended last season at the bottom of the NRLW ladder but have been actively bolstering their squad in preparation for the upcoming season.
