Luke Vickery, a product of the Western United academy, enjoyed a momentous occasion as he netted his first goal in the Isuzu UTE A-League, propelling the Green and Black past the two-time champions, Central Coast Mariners.
Coming off the bench, Vickery re-established Western’s lead, aiding the visitors in breaking their winless streak in Gosford with a 3-1 triumph over the Mariners on Friday night.
It was a night to remember for the 19-year-old, who celebrated his inaugural A-Leagues goal while helping his team secure their first away victory against Central Coast, climbing to second in the league standings.
