Sydney FC has ensured the future of Young Matildas skipper Shay Hollman by offering the midfielder a fresh two-year contract.
The 19-year-old made 13 appearances for the Sky Blues during the 2024-25 Ninja A-League season and is set on establishing herself as a central figure in the team’s midfield for the foreseeable future.
“I’m thrilled to be staying at Sydney FC because I truly love the team and its culture,” Hollman expressed after signing her new contract.

“I genuinely look forward to training in this environment.
“It has played a significant role in my career, providing a wonderful atmosphere for me to continue learning and evolving.”
Having joined the club at just 14 years old, Hollman will now don the Sky Blue colours until the conclusion of the 2026-27 Ninja A-League season, as Ante Juric’s squad aims to bounce back from missing out on finals football last year.

“Shay is undoubtedly one of the finest young midfielders in the nation, and we’re delighted to have her on board for another two years,” Juric commented following the announcement of the deal.
“Her work ethic is remarkable, and her tenacity is evident every time she steps onto the pitch; she gives her all for the club and her fellow teammates.
He added: “She’s a talent with a brilliant future ahead of her, and we’re confident she can achieve great things in the upcoming seasons.
“We are dedicated to supporting her in taking the next steps in her career and challenging her to realise her full potential.”
The Hollman name has become deeply associated with Sydney FC over the years, as brother Corey currently represents the men’s team, while eldest brother Jake played for the club before transferring to Macarthur.
