Repco Supercars Championship
It was an exceptionally varied day for the Supercars, with five sessions taking place at the iconic Albert Park circuit. Ultimately, it was the well-known duo of Broc Feeney and Will Brown who clinched a one-two finish for Red Bull Ampol Racing in the race.
In Practice 1, second-year driver Ryan Wood topped the timesheets, outpacing Richie Stanaway and Will Davison, while James Golding set the pace in Practice 2.
During qualifying, Feeney demonstrated his dominance by recording the fastest times in both 15-minute sessions.
He narrowly defeated his teammate in qualifying by a mere one hundredth of a second, with Cameron Hill achieving his best qualifying position to date by finishing P3—only three hundredths of a second behind the pole sitter.
In Qualifying 2, Feeney notched the day’s fastest time, securing consecutive pole positions, while Hill celebrated an incredible milestone with his first front-row start. It was a significant comeback for Matt Stone Racing, as Nick Percat qualified third after a disappointing round in Sydney.
When the race finally commenced, the top three remained unchanged, with Feeney pulling away from the competition while Brown and Hill maintained second and third place, respectively.
Despite facing several incidents and a safety car intervention, Feeney showed no signs of relinquishing his lead, marking his first victory of the year, followed by Brown. Meanwhile, Hill capped off a remarkable day with his inaugural Supercars podium finish.
Only one race took place for Supercars on Friday, with the second race scheduled for 2:50 pm AEDT.

Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia Championship
The one-make series conducted three sessions on Thursday, beginning with morning practice and culminating in the first of three races.
Reigning champion Harri Jones secured top honours in the disrupted opening round, finishing half a second ahead of Bayley Hall after an exhilarating last-lap fight, while Dylan O’Keefe completed the top three.
When the race commenced, Jones got off to a robust start, successfully fending off Jackson Walls and Hall during the early laps. The field remained intact for the first six laps until the weekend’s first incident saw Ash Seward Motorsport’s Matt Slavin collide with the wall.
Following an extended safety car period that concluded just before the final lap, Jones briefly lost the lead to Alessandro Ghiretti but quickly reclaimed it—ultimately crossing the finish line in first place.
Among the Am drivers, Sam Shahin claimed victory, followed by Adrian Flack and Rodney Jane.
The series will continue tomorrow with another race scheduled for the evening.
