A late penalty ensured a 2-1 triumph for Juventus against Como, propelling the visitors into fourth place in the Serie A table, while the home side faced a third consecutive defeat.
Como failed to find the net for the first time in 2025 during their defeat to Bologna last week, and they appeared to be on course for an early breakthrough when Nico Paz’s low effort in the 11th minute seemed destined for the bottom corner, only for Michele Di Gregorio to produce a stunning save.
Juve’s goalkeeper was called into action again midway through the half to deflect a fierce drive from Lucas da Cunha over the crossbar, as the Lariani continued to exert their dominance.
However, their inability to convert chances into goals proved costly just after the half-hour mark, when Randal Kolo Muani picked up the ball on the right, outperformed Alberto Dossena, and fired into the roof of the net from a tight angle.
This marked his fourth goal since joining in Italy, providing the Bianconeri with the lead for the seventh time in their last eight away league matches.

Como’s best opportunity to level the match before the interval came from a Paz header that sailed over the bar, but just before half-time, Assane Diao, unmarked, capitalised on Patrick Cutrone’s cross to head in the equaliser.
Paz’s individual contest with Di Gregorio continued early in the second half when the Real Madrid loanee was set up by Diao, but the goalkeeper thwarted his attempt with a well-placed foot. This sparked a series of opportunities for Cesc Fàbregas’ side, with Cutrone, da Cunha, and Gabriel Strefezza all having their chances, yet again the home side failed to capitalise on their dominance, as the best Juve could muster were two off-target efforts from Nicolás González.
It wasn’t until the closing moments that a decisive moment occurred, as Federico Gatti challenged for a free-kick sent into the box and was clipped by Jean Butez’s outstretched arm. After a VAR review, a penalty was awarded, allowing Kolo Muani to send Butez the wrong way, netting his second brace in as many matches.

With this late winner, Juventus climbs into fourth place, marking only their second away victory in the last ten fixtures. Como, on the other hand, are left searching for their first win against the Vecchia Signora since 1952.
