Although Melbourne secured a victory against the Gold Coast, coach Craig Bellamy’s demeanour throughout the match was far from cheerful.
His frustrations peaked early in the second half when Melbourne held a 16-6 advantage.
With the team just ten metres from the Titans’ line, and Cam Munster alongside Jahrome Hughes on the left, Ryan Papenhuyzen disregarded the call as Tyran Wishart shifted the ball to the short side.
The fullback went for a dummy but was caught on the final tackle, leading to a camera shot of Bellamy leaving the coaching box in frustration.
“That’s got the coach walking. He’s out of the box; he’s had enough,” stated Michael Ennis on Fox League.

Just minutes later, Melbourne found themselves on the attack once more. On the third tackle, Hughes attempted a grubber kick that was smothered by the Titans. Shortly after, a penalty was awarded for an off-side against Gold Coast on the first tackle.
Again, Bellamy exited the box in frustration.
“He’s clearly not happy, and rightly so,” Ennis commented.
“It’s not common for Jahrome Hughes to make those errors… (Bellamy) is definitely frustrated this afternoon.”

In the first half, Sualauvi Fa’alogo’s two tries helped Melbourne secure a 16-6 lead, while Jayden Campbell managed a try for the Titans, and Wishart added another for Melbourne.
The Titans responded first in the second half with Phillip Sami crossing over.
However, a brace from Grant Anderson sealed the match at 28-10.
Sami managed to score again in the 67th minute, but it came too late as Melbourne claimed victory at 28-16.
After the match, Munster referred to Bellamy as a “worry wart”.
“He craves perfection, and unfortunately in rugby league, that’s just not attainable all the time… With these conditions, there are bound to be slips and decisions that no one intends to make,” he shared with Fox League.
