In a Nail-Biting Finish! Chidiac’s Final Performance Seals the Julie Dolan Medal
After 19 rounds, Healy held a five-vote advantage over Chidiac on the Julie Dolan Medal leaderboard, with only four matches remaining.
However, a quad injury forced Healy to sit out three of the last four games leading into the season’s conclusion. During her absence, Chidiac took full advantage.
In a standout performance in the penultimate round, Chidiac earned three votes, bringing her total to 24 for the season, just one behind Healy’s 25.
Needing only one vote to tie for the Julie Dolan Medal and two votes to win it outright, Chidiac found the net for just her second goal of the season during a 2-0 triumph over Brisbane Roar, securing the two votes required to surpass Healy and claim the coveted medal outright.
