The euphoria of victory for the Broncos in Sydney was fleeting, as the club quickly arranged to return home and support their loved ones ahead of the impending arrival of Cyclone Alfred.
As reported by 9news Brisbane, the Broncos chartered a flight to leave Sydney immediately following their dominant 50-14 victory.
The flight headed straight to Toowoomba, where the team transferred to a bus for the final leg back to Brisbane.
Additionally, Brisbane enjoyed a police escort from Allianz Stadium to the airport, as highlighted by James Bracey on Nine’s coverage.

Star fullback Reece Walsh shared a heartfelt message for fans at home after the game.
“Queensland, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, all the way down to Byron – everyone is going through a tough time right now,” he mentioned on Nine.
“We just want to send our thoughts, and we hope everyone’s doing alright. We’re heading home, so please continue to look after each other and check in on your neighbours.”
“I’m confident we’ll get through this.”
The Dolphins also had to adjust their plans for the Friday match against the Rabbitohs, which was originally set to take place at home.
Now, the game will be played in Sydney, and Kodi Nikorima, Mark Nicholls, and Kenny Bromwich have withdrawn to remain at home.
Nikorima’s wife, Bree, expressed her anger over the relocation decision, labelling it as “disgusting”.
