Bayern Munich achieved their tenth consecutive home win in the Bundesliga, triumphing over Eintracht Frankfurt with a convincing 4-0 victory at the Allianz Arena. This emphatic result allowed them to reassert their eight-point advantage at the top of the table, marking an impressive 43rd home win in head-to-head encounters, which sets a new record for the competition.
After two lacklustre performances against Bayer Leverkusen and Celtic recently, Vincent Kompany’s squad began the match slowly. They were nearly punished for their sluggish start when they lost possession in their own defensive third, but Hugo Ekitike’s shot went wide of the goalpost.
However, Bayern soon found their rhythm and came close to scoring when Jamal Musiala had his effort cleared off the line by Rasmus Kristensen. The chance was created by Michael Olise, who was causing significant trouble down the right flank. He first shot from close range but missed the target before forcing Kevin Trapp into a low save.
Thomas Müller stepped into the starting line-up in place of Harry Kane and posed a threat, with Trapp once again making a save from a long-range shot.
Although the hosts lost Joshua Kimmich to injury before half-time, they managed to take the lead during first-half stoppage time. Leroy Sane’s cutback was expertly converted into an unguarded net by Olise, who scored against Frankfurt for the second consecutive match.

In reaction to the visitors’ disappointing performance towards the end of the first half, Dino Toppmoller made two substitutions at the start of the second half. However, the game’s tempo remained unchanged, and Bayern extended their lead just after the hour mark.
This time, a misjudgment by the usually reliable Trapp led to a calamitous moment. He failed to clear a corner properly, allowing Hiroki Ito to grab his first goal for Bayern by tapping the ball into the net from close range.
The visitors were left demoralised, and a third goal was inevitable as Musiala showcased his skills, dancing past defenders and then recovering from a challenge to score with a precise shot past Trapp.
Bayern’s dominant home performance in Europe’s top five leagues was rounded off by a goal from Serge Gnabry in the second minute of added time. Meanwhile, Frankfurt’s unbeaten run in the Bundesliga comes to an end after seven matches, just a week before they face defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.
