Formula 3 – Monaco
Monaco has once again proven itself as the supreme challenge of precision and perseverance, with Australian driver James Wharton delivering an exceptional performance in Sunday’s Feature Race.
Beginning in 22nd position, the Aussie newcomer skillfully navigated his way through the pack to secure 11th place, a remarkable feat on a circuit where overtaking is notoriously tricky.
Wharton’s debut in Monaco encountered a rocky start during Free Practice, where heavy traffic and a red flag curtailed his running time.
Even after switching to soft tyres late in the session, he finished 29th. Qualifying was similarly challenging, as a lap time of 1:26.457 left him in 22nd.
In Saturday’s Sprint Race, Wharton took a measured approach, aware that taking risks in Monaco can often backfire. After briefly slipping to 24th, he capitalised on incidents ahead of him and finished in P22.
The Feature Race, however, was where Wharton truly excelled, making a rapid start from the grid and steadily overtaking competitors with consistent lap times.
In the final laps, he climbed to 12th before settling in 11th, advancing eleven positions on one of F3’s most challenging tracks.
“We made adjustments for the Sprint Race and learned a great deal, which came together nicely in the Feature. I felt much more assured, and I’m grateful to the team for their dedication,” Wharton commented.
“We’ve made significant advancements since Thursday, and I’m looking forward to Barcelona, a circuit I’m familiar with, having won twice last year in FRECA.”
“Our aim is to qualify better and rack up solid points before the break.”
The next round of the 2025 Formula 3 Championship is scheduled to take place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya from 30 May to 1 June.

Formula 1 – Monaco
The 2025 Monaco Grand Prix delivered another spectacular result for the McLaren team, with both drivers securing spots on the podium.
This year, a new rule enforcing two pit stops per driver introduced a fresh layer of strategy to the race.
In Saturday’s qualifying session, Australian Oscar Piastri clinched third place, just six hundredths behind Charles Leclerc.
Piastri’s teammate Lando Norris kicked off the race from pole position, executing a fierce launch into turn one.
Both McLaren drivers demonstrated impressive speed, with Norris creating a three-second advantage over the rest of the field by the last lap.
Piastri maintained his position throughout the race, narrowly avoiding a potential collision with Max Verstappen on lap 10.
The Australian primarily focused on challenging Leclerc for P2, but despite his efforts, he finished third, supporting Norris, who claimed victory.
This marked Piastri’s seventh consecutive podium this season, keeping him ahead in the Drivers’ Championship by three points over Norris.
The 2025 Formula 1 Championship moves to Barcelona next, scheduled for 30 May to 1 June.

GB4 Championship – Oulton Park
Young Australian Jack Taylor made a notable comeback during a challenging round of the 2025 GB4 Championship at Oulton Park.
Following a strong qualifying session where Taylor secured fourth, Race One proved to be a struggle, with wet conditions at the start impacting Fortec Motorsports’ tyre strategies.
Taylor opted for slick tyres, resulting in him running off the track before rejoining the race, ultimately finishing 22nd.
The rain persisted in Race Two, stopping just before the drivers were set to race, leading to a DNF for Taylor after seven laps due to adverse conditions.
Nevertheless, Taylor showcased his best performance in Race Three, starting from the pit lane and finishing fifth with a time of 16:31:972.
The next round of the 2025 GB4 Championship will take place on 12-13 July at the Snetterton 300 circuit.

British F4 – Snetterton (300)
Jimmy Piszcyk and Xavier Avramides both displayed their driving talents at Round 3 of the 2025 British F4 Championship.
Piszcyk began the race weekend with track limit infringements that left him with 14th in qualifying.
This put the Aussie at a disadvantage in the first race, where he retired following contact with another driver, leading to a puncture.
Avramides faced his own set of challenges, qualifying just behind Piszcyk in 16th.
During Race One, Avramides showed promising pace, climbing to tenth before falling back to 19th due to an incident that inflicted damage on his car.
Race Two saw Piszcyk improve from his previous result, finishing in 12th, while Avramides crossed the finish line in 19th after being caught up in a racing incident.
Both drivers came back strongly in the final race, with Piszcyk executing an overtaking masterclass, moving from 13th to fourth.
This impressive finish has propelled Jimmy close to the top of the Drivers’ Championship standings, now in third place.
Avramides made notable progress in Race Three, finishing 11th in a time of 26:58.635.
“It’s been a tough weekend for us, but we managed to pull off a great result at the end,” Piszcyk reflected.
“I was disappointed for the team on Saturday, but they provided me with a superb car for the final race, and we made it count.”
“Consistent laps, solid overtaking, and crucial points secured to keep my championship ambitions on track.”

The second round of the 2025 Italian F4 Championship was eventful for Australian driver Dante Vinci.
Vinci achieved seventh place in qualifying during a chaotic session that featured a red flag.
The Aussie finished Race Two in 10th, clocking in at 27:47.170, earning a spot on the rookie podium.
However, in Race Three, Vinci faced misfortune, finishing eighth but receiving a 10-second penalty for contact with Bart Harrison, which relegated him to 19th.
The next round of the 2025 Italian F4 Championship will be held at Monza on 22 June.

Power qualified 12th with a total time of 2:35.0760, just a tenth behind his Team Penske teammate Josef Newgarden.
