Winger Lachlan Wales has confirmed a one-year extension with Perth Glory, having initially joined the club on a short-term contract during the 2024-25 Isuzu UTE A-League season.
In his first spell with Glory, Wales made six appearances before an injury in March kept him out for the remainder of the season’s final six matches.
The 27-year-old, boasting 178 Isuzu UTE A-League matches, will remain at the club for the 2025-26 season, joining young midfielder Trent Ostler as the second player to re-sign since the conclusion of the regular season.
A champion with Western United in 2022, Wales has received praise from Glory’s football director Stan Lazaridis, who believes he can have a significant impact in the upcoming season after completing his first full pre-season with the club.
“Despite his brief time with us, Lachie has quickly become a fan favourite among our Members and supporters, and it’s easy to see why,” Lazaridis remarked.
“He possesses speed and directness, is versatile enough to tackle multiple attacking positions, and delivers exceptional services from the flanks.
“With a full pre-season under his belt, we’re confident he’ll hit the ground running come Round 1 and re-establish himself as one of the most thrilling attacking talents in the A-League.”
