Inter Milan forward Marcus Thuram is currently sidelined with a thigh injury, as confirmed by the Serie A leaders on Friday. The club is monitoring his recovery ahead of their Coppa Italia semi-final against AC Milan, scheduled for next week.
The French international, who leads Inter’s scoring chart in Serie A with 14 goals, is expected to miss Sunday’s league encounter against Bologna, who sit fifth in the table, according to reports from Italian media. Inter disclosed that Thuram underwent medical evaluations earlier today.
“The tests have shown signs of fatigue in the adductor muscles of his left thigh. We will be assessing his condition on a daily basis,” stated Inter in an official announcement.
As it stands, the reigning champions are at the top of the Serie A standings with 71 points from 32 matches, three points clear of Napoli.
Inter will play host to AC Milan for the second leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final on Wednesday, following a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Flashscore
Inter, one of only eight clubs to have achieved a treble of league, cup, and European success, may yet repeat this remarkable feat this season.
They are set to clash with Barcelona, another side that has previously secured a treble, in the Champions League semi-finals, having progressed to the last four following a thrilling 4-3 aggregate victory over Bayern Munich.
Thuram, who has been an ever-present figure starting 26 league matches this season, recently withdrew from the France national squad due to an ankle injury.
