The squads are set as we gear up for Round 18 of the Isuzu UTE A-League.
Alen Stajcic, head coach of the Western Sydney Wanderers, has included Juan Mata in his extended squad for Saturday’s highly-anticipated Sydney Derby. The Spanish talent aims to make a comeback following a hamstring injury sustained in Round 17.
The Wanderers have also registered new signing Alex Gersbach, who may make his debut against former club Sydney FC. In response, the Sky Blues have bolstered their lineup with Alex Grant and Socceroos defender Joel King also announced by coach Ufuk Talay.
Meanwhile, young striker Max Caputo from Melbourne City is eager to make his season debut after recovering from a leg injury. Additionally, 2024 Grand Final hero Miguel Di Pizio is set to return for the Central Coast Mariners following an extended knee injury absence that has kept him out for the entirety of the season thus far.
The Macarthur Bulls have included Peter Makrillos in their squad, potentially marking his debut in the Isuzu UTE A-League against Western United on Sunday. Also, Adelaide United has called up highly-regarded prospect Amlani Tatu for their Friday night clash with City.
Notably, several clubs will be missing emerging talents who have been selected for the Young Socceroos as they prepare for the Under-20 AFC Asian Cup happening this month.
Stay tuned for all the latest team updates below.
