Australian sports enthusiasts can look forward to an unprecedented number of free swimming events following the announcement of the most substantial broadcast agreement in the history of Swimming Australia by Nine.
On Tuesday, Nine and Swimming Australia unveiled a comprehensive 10-year multi-platform media rights and sponsorship arrangement that extends until 2034, two years beyond the Brisbane Olympic Games.
This agreement comes on the heels of an impressive performance by Australian swimmers at the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris.
As Australia’s partner for Olympic and Paralympic broadcasts, Nine recorded an impressive 5.7 million viewers during last year’s national swimming trials.
Fans can expect even more swimming coverage on Nine and 9Now, which will include the 2026 and 2030 Pan Pacific Championships.

Williams went on to say, “This deal sets the foundation for Wide World of Sports to present numerous thrilling races, track our star athletes’ progress, and shine a light on the emerging talents in swimming who will become the Olympians of Brisbane 2032.”
