Mason Cox has disclosed that he hasn’t viewed the footage of his finger injury, admitting that discovering the identity of the teammate responsible for the incident could leave him feeling “upset”.
The Collingwood ruckman suffered a broken finger during training last week, preventing him from engaging in contact sessions as he recuperates.
The Magpies are set to face GWS on March 9, and Cox is working against the clock to regain fitness.
“I’m holding out hope that it’s just a three to four-week injury,” he told reporters.

“There’s a chance I could be ready for round zero, but we need to do more scans on Monday to find out for sure.”
Despite the injury being accidental, Cox openly admitted he hasn’t revisited the footage, worried about how it might affect him emotionally.
“I genuinely don’t know who was involved; I haven’t looked at the video yet,” he stated.
“I prefer not to know, as I think I might become upset with that person at some point, and I don’t think I need that kind of negativity right now.”
