It may not have been the most exhilarating display, but FC Copenhagen managed to secure a vital three points and bounce back from their disappointing loss to Heidenheim in the Europa League with a 2-1 triumph away at Randers in the Danish Superliga.
After a chaotic start to the match, FCK broke the deadlock midway through the first half, although the goal was initially disallowed.
Following a VAR review, it became clear that the ball had fully crossed the goal line, with Randers defender Oliver Olsen unfortunate enough to redirect it into his own net after FCK captain Thomas Delaney had headed a corner towards him.
Just five minutes later, FCK striker Jordan Larsson extended the lead with a well-placed finish following a superb assist from winger Robert, who showcased his skill by deftly manoeuvring past Olsen.
Prior to half-time, Randers offered little in terms of offensive threat, but that all changed shortly after the interval as they quickly halved the deficit. Florian Danho sent a beautifully weighted through-ball to his fellow attacker Simen Nordli, who finished with precision into the bottom corner.

Danho and Mathias Greve had opportunities to level the scores, but FC Copenhagen managed to hold on for their first victory since the break.
With this win, FC Copenhagen reclaimed their spot at the top of the league, level on points with FC Midtjylland. Both teams secured victories this weekend, albeit without showcasing their best form, and now sit on 36 points after 18 matches in the regular season.
AGF sits in third place, trailing by five points, while Brøndby and Randers are just one point further back.
