This year, the rugby league’s expansion into Las Vegas has encountered a rocky beginning, as the anticipated match between Greece and the USA has been called off due to concerns for player safety.
Initially scheduled to commence at 1pm (AEDT) and live-streamed to fans, the match faced delays owing to lighting complications at Silverbowl Park.
After nearly two hours of waiting, officials ultimately had to cancel the event, leaving players from both sides in limbo.
