Nathan Cleary and Dylan Edwards have officially made their return to full fitness just in time for the Panthers’ upcoming showdown against the Sharks in Las Vegas.
Both players concluded last season with significant injuries after another successful premiership campaign, with Edwards deciding to participate in representative football.
The duo underwent off-season shoulder surgeries to address their injuries but have now been cleared to play following the release of footage showing them participating in contact training sessions.

“They always go the extra mile outside the usual training stuff, particularly Nathan and Dylan,” said Panthers’ rising star Mavrik Geyer during a press conference on Tuesday.
“They’re arguably the two most dedicated players in our team, ensuring they are doing everything necessary to catch that flight and feature in round one.”
Footage of Cleary’s comeback follows comments from his father and coach, Ivan, who confirmed to 9news Sydney in December that “everything has gone according to plan” for the halfback.
Concerns arose for Cleary when he was unable to undergo surgery immediately after the season concluded due to his surgeon being on holiday.
Edwards, on the other hand, postponed his surgery until after the Pacific Championships, competing in all three of the Kangaroos’ matches after stepping in as fullback for James Tedesco.
