According to reports on Saturday, Manchester United forward Amad Diallo (22) may miss the remainder of the season due to ankle ligament damage.
It appears that Diallo sustained the injury during training, and while the club has yet to confirm the severity of the issue, the young forward is awaiting further medical evaluations.
The Ivorian international has been one of United’s standout performers during a challenging season for the struggling Premier League outfit, scoring pivotal goals against rivals Manchester City and Liverpool.
Diallo has found the net six times in his past 14 matches across all competitions, and his lengthy absence would be a significant setback for United’s manager, Ruben Amorim.

Prior to United’s upcoming match against Tottenham on Sunday, Manager Amorim had confirmed that the squad was facing several unspecified injuries and illnesses.
It has since been reported that United players Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer have also sustained injuries, adding to Diallo’s woes.
Defender Lisandro Martinez recently suffered a season-ending anterior cruciate ligament injury, while Amorim indicated that Luke Shaw, Jonny Evans, Mason Mount, and Altay Bayindir are also expected to be unavailable.
In response to these difficulties, youth players, including 17-year-old Chido Obi, have been elevated to first-team training to assist in dealing with the ongoing challenges.
Currently, United find themselves in 13th place in the Premier League, ahead of their clash with Tottenham, who are trailing them by two points.
