Complete 2025 NRL and NRLW Fixture Revealed: New Themed Rounds and Reduced Five-Day Turnarounds

The 2025 NRL and NRLW fixtures have been revealed, with the Panthers, the four-time reigning men’s champions, set to kick off their title defence against fellow contenders Cronulla. This highly anticipated match will take place as part of the Las Vegas double header, marking the official start of the season on Sunday, March 2.

Meanwhile, in the NRLW, the 2024 champions, the Sydney Roosters, will commence their title defence against the Warriors on Sunday, July 6. The season will be opened just three days prior, on Thursday, July 3, with a match between the Sharks and Eels.

The league has announced a series of themed rounds for 2025, including:

• Multicultural Round (Round 5), featuring a thrilling Friday night showdown between the Rabbitohs and Roosters
• The Dolphins will headline Magic Round with a prime-time Friday night game, while the Broncos are scheduled for Sunday afternoon
• Women In League Round (Round 10)
• Beanie for Brain Cancer Round (Round 17)
• The inaugural Indigenous Round, taking place over two rounds (Round 23 and Round 24), with three matches hosted at Allianz Stadium and including the NRLW
• Country Round (Round 25)

Additionally, the NRL has announced that the upcoming schedule contains the lowest number of five-day turnarounds ever, with a total of 21. This is a reduction from 26 in 2024 and 30 in 2023.

“It’s a thrilling time for fans as we reveal the integrated schedules for the 2025 NRL and NRLW seasons,” said NRL CEO Andrew Abdo. “This schedule is more ambitious and bold than ever, offering thirty-two weeks of incredible action filled with rivalries, excitement, and unmatched skills.”
