The Australian Under-20 squad, brimming with talent from the Ninja A-League, showcased their resilience by overcoming two deficits to defeat Thailand, propelled by a stunning hat-trick from Western Sydney Wanderers’ rising star and Golden Boot recipient, Sienna Saveska.

Saveska’s remarkable three-goal performance, complemented by a brilliant strike from Sydney FC’s Caley Tallon-Henniker and an unfortunate own goal, led the unbeaten Young Matildas to finish at the top of the table with nine points, three clear of second-placed Thailand.

18-year-old sensation Saveska netted a total of six goals throughout the tournament, earning the Golden Boot in the nation’s capital.
