Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii was taken off the field on a stretcher at Allianz Stadium following a distressing collision with his NSW Waratahs teammate Andrew Kellaway on Friday night.
In an attempt to halt a Reds offensive push, Suaalii’s head collided with Kellaway’s knee, causing him to collapse instantly onto the ground.
After an extended pause filled with grave concern for Suaalii’s well-being, the young star was fitted with a neck brace and transported off the pitch on a medicab.

“All Wallabies fans should take a deep breath now,” commented Wallabies legend Tim Horan on Stan Sport.
The Waratahs were locked at 14-14 with the Queensland Reds as the first half concluded in their Super Rugby Pacific clash.
“It appears to be a head injury,” Waratahs head coach Dan McKellar noted on Stan Sport.
“I haven’t seen him yet, but it looks like he’s taken a head knock that has left him quite groggy.”
Darby Lancaster came on to replace Suaalii, with Kellaway shifting to the fullback position.
NSW saw tries from Henry O’Donnell and Jake Gordon, while the visitors replied with tries from Tate McDermott and Richie Asiata.
Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt was in attendance among 18,945 spectators in Sydney, witnessing the Waratahs attempt to revive their ongoing campaign.
The Reds entered the match sitting in fourth place, while the Waratahs were ninth.
Despite his team’s difficulties, Suaalii was enjoying a stellar debut season in Super Rugby.
