Coco Gauff is parting ways with her long-standing agency and establishing her own management firm to “gain greater control” over her tennis career as she develops “as an athlete, entrepreneur, and changemaker,” she announced on social media.
The reigning champion of the 2023 US Open singles title and the 2024 French Open doubles title shared that her new venture will be named Coco Gauff Enterprises.
She has concluded her partnership with Team8, the management company co-founded by Roger Federer and his manager, Tony Godsick.
“This is just the start of an exciting new chapter for me, with much more to unveil in the future, which I’m looking forward to sharing when the time is right,” the American stated. “As always, my primary focus will continue to be tennis!”
The 21-year-old, who hails from Florida and is currently based there, is presently ranked No. 3 in the WTA singles standings and No. 25 in doubles. She has previously reached as high as No. 2 in singles and No. 1 in doubles.
Gauff has earned approximately US$23 million (A$36 million) in prize money, alongside millions more from endorsement deals. Her total earnings are projected to reach $30.4 million in 2024 (A$48 million), making her the top-earning female athlete, as reported by Sportico.

This new business initiative includes forming a partnership with WME, an agency known for representing various sports icons, including tennis legend Serena Williams.
Gauff first captured global attention at the age of 15 during the 2019 Wimbledon tournament, where she made history as the youngest qualifier and defeated Venus Williams in the opening round, advancing to the fourth round in her grand slam debut.
“Since the moment I first picked up a tennis racquet, I’ve felt that my purpose extends far beyond the court,” Gauff’s post noted, expressing her desire to create “an impact — not only in tennis but also in business, philanthropy, and beyond.”
