Manly Sea Eagles have made it clear that they are not in contention to sign rising Tigers playmaker Lachlan Galvin following the recent Daly Cherry-Evans saga at the club.
Galvin’s manager, Isaac Moses, is reportedly contemplating moving his talented client from the Tigers at the earliest opportunity, and Manly seemed like a potential destination.
Adding fuel to the speculation, Moses also represents Manly’s coach, Anthony Seibold, which suggested that Brookvale was a favoured choice for the young star.
However, the Sea Eagles have announced that they will not be pursuing high-profile halves to take Cherry-Evans’ place.

A source within the Sea Eagles revealed that the club is placing its trust in promising talent Joey Walsh, who has been nurtured for the past couple of seasons.
Bringing Galvin on board would significantly strain the Sea Eagles’ salary cap, especially as they currently have limited flexibility.
While many clubs are keen on Galvin, the Sea Eagles are not on that list.
‘GLAMOUR CLUB’ EMERGING AS CONTENDERS FOR DCE
Continuing with Manly and Cherry-Evans – I faced considerable backlash a fortnight ago for suggesting that the Roosters had interest in the veteran halfback.
Critics thought I was out to lunch, arguing he would remain at Manly and that the Roosters wouldn’t consider signing an older halfback, among other things.
Fast forward two weeks, and it’s now common knowledge among insiders that the Roosters are gaining momentum as frontrunners to sign Cherry-Evans, with the Dolphins and Titans following close behind.
The situation is fluid, with DCE eager to resolve the matter swiftly so he can be off the front and back pages.
COBBO’S FLIGHT ACROSS THE TASMAN
Concerns arose recently when reports surfaced of Broncos sensation Selwyn Cobbo spotted in Auckland.
Cobbo has been linked to a potential shift away from Brisbane, and the Warriors are in need of depth in the outside backs.

All signs pointed to increased activity… until I did a bit of digging.
“Solid effort, Moley, but he was just there for a few days celebrating his partner’s mother’s birthday,” stated Cobbo’s manager. And there goes another intriguing story!
CHOOKS’ INJURY WOES IN A KEY POSITION
Last weekend was certainly a case of discomfort for the Roosters’ hookers.
The team has been struggling to secure victories, likely aggravated by the absence of hookers Brandon Smith (knee), Connor Watson (concussion), Beniah Ioelu (leg), and Tyler Moriaty (ankle), all sidelined with injuries.

Additionally, NSW Cup backup hooker Michael Coleman (leg) and SG Ball Cup hooker Jaxson Allen (jaw) were also unavailable.
Utility forward Zach Dockar-Clay had to step in as a makeshift hooker against the Titans, putting in a solid performance despite the team’s heavy loss.
