
Sydney FC’s rising star, Adrian Segecic, has been recognised as one of the top 10 players under 23 globally, according to a recent release from the CIES Football Observatory.
Segecic stands sixth for non-penalty goals scored per 90 minutes amongst U23 players across 62 leagues worldwide (with a minimum of 630 domestic minutes played), as per the data from CIES.

This talented 20-year-old, often coming off the bench, boasts an impressive tally of 0.91 non-penalty goals per 90 minutes—surpassing notable players like PSV’s Ricardo Pepi (1.36), Monaco’s Mika Biereth (1.26), CF Pachuca’s John Kennedy (1.04), Saidou Alioum from AC Omonia (1.02), and Mees Rijks of Valerenga (0.98).
Segecic has continued to elevate his game with Sydney in both the Isuzu UTE A-League and AFC Champions League Two competitions.
Currently, he finds himself in the Golden Boot contention, having netted nine goals in the league despite starting only 10 out of 18 matches.
Additionally, he has recorded five goals in the ACL Two as the Sky Blues gear up for a remarkable semi-final showdown.
