Adelaide United has received a significant boost in their chase of league frontrunners Melbourne City with the comeback of star forward Fiona Worts, who has recovered from a quad injury.
Worts last played for Adelaide on March 3 and has featured in just two matches since mid-February due to injuries hampering her progress in the later stages of the 2024-25 season. She has managed to score seven goals this season, tying her with Erin Healy and Chelsie Dawber for the most goals among Adelaide players.
In other news, Brisbane Roar are excited by the return of defensive duo Leia Varley and Chelsea Blissett following their respective leg injuries. Blissett last took the field for the Roar on February 9; her contributions were pivotal to Brisbane’s form at the start of the season.
