Brian Riemer has implemented two alterations to the starting eleven as Denmark prepares to clash with Portugal in the Nations League quarter-final return leg this evening in Lisbon.
One of the changes comes due to Joakim Maehle heading home to be with his heavily pregnant partner. He will be replaced in the starting line-up by Patrick Dorgu, who is set to showcase his skills as left back.
Joining the starting line-up is Rasmus Hojlund, the hero from Thursday’s narrow 1-0 victory in the Park.
Hojlund steps in for Mika Biereth, who made his debut in Thursday’s match but will now start on the bench.
Denmark will adopt a 4-3-3 formation, featuring the following players:
Kasper Schmeichel – Rasmus Nissen Kristensen, Joachim Andersen, Jannik Vestergaard, Patrick Dorgu – Morten Hjulmand, Christian Norgaard, Christian Eriksen – Gustav Isaksen, Rasmus Hojlund, Jesper Lindstrom.
