The Danish Superliga clash between Randers and AGF faced no threat of cancellation, despite the thick fog making it nearly impossible to discern the happenings on the field from a distance.
The fog severely impacted visibility for both fans at the ground and those watching on television. However, according to the referee, Jens Maae, the conditions on the pitch were significantly better than those outside, ensuring the match continued without interruptions.
Consequently, he found no justification for halting the game.

“The images may look worse on TV and the VAR footage, but at no point – not even in the second half – was it a challenge for me or the players to complete the match. That’s why we decided to carry on,” stated Jens Maae in an interview with TV 2 Sport, mentioning that he maintained communication with the players regarding the visibility conditions.
The match concluded in a 1-1 draw, with Patrick Mortensen putting the visitors ahead early on, before Mathias Greve equalised later in the first half.
