Phil Mickelson, Cameron Smith, and Dustin Johnson have each made a significant impact on the world of golf over the past couple of decades.
Australian golfing sensation Smith reached the pinnacle of the sport in 2022, triumphing at both The Players Championship and the British Open.
However, just weeks later, he made headlines by leaving the Tour to sign with LIV Golf. While this change has proven financially rewarding, it appears to have resulted in his exclusion from the PGA Tour’s official records.
The Tour’s official website features a leaderboard of all-time prize money leaders, where Smith ought to rank 49th. Mickelson is typically positioned third, while Johnson occupies fourth place.
Strikingly, the PGA Tour now asserts that these players have never participated in the circuit. Notably, Jon Rahm and Sergio Garcia, both top-20 earners on the PGA Tour, are also conspicuously absent from this list.
