British F4 Championship – Donington Park
James Piszcyk got his 2025 British F4 Championship campaign off to an exceptional start, clinching a race victory at Donington Park.
The 18-year-old, in his second season with Rodin Motorsport, is eager to leverage his achievements in the UK, having previously won the 2024 Australian F4 championship.
During Qualifying, Piszcyk showcased consistent lap times, securing fifth on the grid for Race 1 with a notable time of 1:05.2, which left him just two-tenths of a second shy of pole position.
In Race 1, despite making a charging start to claim third, a five-second penalty for a false start pushed him back to ninth place.
However, a strong finish was still within reach, as the reverse grid format for Race 2 allowed him to start from P8. The South Australian executed several overtakes during the opening lap, ultimately finishing in fourth position.
Piszcyk began Race 3 from fourth place, making an impressive start that propelled him into third ahead of Henry Joslyn. Following a second safety car intervention, he pursued the frontrunner, ultimately securing his third career victory in British F4.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to come away with a win and to score valuable points, which could set the tone for what we hope will be an excellent season,” Piszcyk remarked.
“It was crucial to stay within the track limits, especially since we knew they were being monitored closely all weekend. I was careful about that throughout both days; it paid off in Race 2 and again in Race 3.”
“I’m incredibly proud of my team and grateful for their trust in me, as well as to my sponsors for their continued support.”
Joining the fray, 16-year-old Australian Xavier Avramides made his debut in the 2025 British F4 Championship, showcasing impressive progress over the three races.
Despite finishing 20th in Race 1, Avramides quickly moved up the ranks, achieving 11th in Race 2 and wrapping up Race 3 in 12th place.
The next round of the 2025 British F4 Championship will take place at Silverstone on 2-3 May.

Qualifying 1 saw all three drivers showcasing their abilities, with Pradel securing P2, Ninovic in P5, and Heuzenroeder in P11.
In Qualifying 2, Ninovic led the way for the Australians, clocking in at P2 with a time of 01:52.074. Meanwhile, Pradel and Heuzenroeder positioned themselves in the top 10, finishing P5 and P8 respectively.
Race 1 featured an intense battle between Pradel and Ninovic, who finished third and fourth respectively, while Heuzenroeder held his ground to finish in P11.
Race 2 saw the Rodin Motorsport teammates continue their impressive performances, with Pradel skillfully utilising the new DRS system to overtake his teammate heading into Stowe, finishing in fourth, with Ninovic right behind in fifth. Heuzenroeder also improved on his previous race finish, claiming eighth place, just two-tenths behind Rodin Motorsport’s Abbi Pulling.
The final race of the weekend brought about some drama with a reverse grid, as Pradel became entangled in a collision involving Freddie Slater and Nikita Johnson, resulting in a DNF. Unfortunately, Ninovic also faced the same fate.
Meanwhile, Heuzenroeder staged a commendable comeback in the third race, clinching a podium finish in second place.
Round 2 of the 2025 GB3 Championship is slated for 17-18 May at Zandvoort GP.

Following two solid qualifying sessions, Sargent navigated through a chaotic race filled with numerous incidents, maintaining focus throughout.
